Earth Day 50th Anniversary!

Happy Earth Day everyone! This is a holiday that is celebrated around the world. Why? Because it is in honor of this beautiful planet that we live on and how it can take care of us, if we take care of it. The first earth Day was on April 22nd, 1970. It launched awareness that we could easily poison our environment, and in turn, us. With that empowering knowledge, it gave birth to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Endangered Species Act. What can you do to help this planet? There are many ways that you can help protect the big, blue home we live on. Here are a few ideas! Reduce, reuse, recycle Bike more, drive less Volunteer to clean up trash Plant a tree or plant a plant that emits a lot of oxygen Buy less plastic Use long lastly light bulbs Don't put chemicals in waterways Educate Etc. and so many more! Tarot Spreads: What I like

Image
So if you have been following this months posts then you know there are a few tarot spreads that I have done and liked! But what are my favorites? And why? Well there are a few that I loved using, just for the main reason of that, they are just cool! That's right they are just fun to do! So why not do them! Tarot doesn't have to be all dark and twisted during this time. There are a few that are positive. But then there are a few that are both, and a few that are negative that can be good. I will do a count down to my 5 favorite spreads that I have found or made up on the fly! 5. This is a three card spread turned 6 because I made it up on the fly! This one is mainly for shadow work, but it still can be a positive thing because it will help you heal from past wounds. I made this up after reading "Symptoms of being Human" by Jeff Garvin (Shameless plug for an amazing read), and it just came to me. I had drawn 3 cards for the 3 major feelings I was feeling at that mo

Tarot Spreads for Personal Growth

Image
During this exciting quarantine time, just kidding you are probably bored out of your own skull at this point, why not just do some self realizations. I am sure you are feeling some type of way right now, especially since you are spending so much time on your own. Why not just do some tarot spreads to help yourself out! Realize some things that you can do to help yourself heal and realize things that you need to grow. Most cases this is called Shadow Work, and I have definitely been doing this very thing recently. It can be a hard thing to face yourself, but sometimes it is necessary to heal and grow. So the blog for this week is all about that personal growth. The good and the bad. Because let's be real, tarot can call your ass OUT! So grab your tea, blanket, and tissues for when you do this. Grab things that can comfort you as you work the tarot and right it down. Then I strongly suggest to take a nice ritual bath, use some bath salts and imagine all this to run down the drai

Happy Eostre

Ostara, Eostre, or Easter for the Christians, either way you want to say it the day is and always will be about rebirth. It is about the rebirth of Spring itself, bringing in that new life force on Earth. Geb is waking! (That one is for me, since I follow the Egyptian pantheon and not Anglo-Saxon/Germanic) It is quite amazing to see all the similarities between the Pagan community and the Christian community. Both sides have an "Easter Bunny", I mean this is the time when those bunnies get their nasty on and replenish their community. Either religion celebrates this time during the spring equinox. Below are some videos on the subject from several other fellow pagans in the community. Enjoy! Tarot Spreads 101

Image
Okay, spreads, what are they and how do I utilize it! Well that is what we will discuss today on this episode of Tarot Spreads 101! Just kidding it's a blog post, but, I am going to write it and you will get to read it. Then use it for yourself, especially now. So first what is a tarot spread. A tarot spread, I have come to learn, is where you are using more then one tarot card. You are using a spread of cards! Original, I know, but that is exactly what it is. You can do a two card, three card, or even up to 78 cards! The more cards that you have in a spread the more it can get complicated, but it tells a story. And in this instance, your story, or what it could be. Because no matter how many times you do a spread, or pull a card, it is different. It is that whole free will concept, when you make one decision it will effect the outcome. So let us dive into a few spreads that I have come to use. These I have found online or in books that I actually really like using because it
